Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge is located right next to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is home to numerous wildlife, birds and an amazing array of flora species. It has a huge population of rhinos and over two million leeser and greater flamingos.
Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge sits on the western shores of the lake. The lodge is perfectly designed with well-manicured and landscaped lawns to offer peace and tranquility. It features 62 rooms. 54 of them are circular cottages furnished with double beds out of which 6 have one double bed. The rooms are child and physically challenged friendly.
The rooms have large windows and private verandas alongside deck chairs for proper comfort and relaxation. Bathrooms are ensuite and fully tiled.
The restaurant serves local and international cuisines with ingridients sourced from local farms. You can enjoy your meals on the terrace or a drink at the bar which has huge panaromic sights facing the lake.
From the lodge you can enjoy our day safaris to Lake Naivasha, Lake Elementaita, Lake Bogoria and Lake Baringo. Some of the activities you can enjoy on your safari with us include; game drives, guided nature wall and photography. Wildlife to see on your safari at the park include; Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, hyenas, leopards, reedbuck, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles and waterbucks. For birders, our guide will help you identify some of the 450 species of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, herons, storks among others. The park has some of the best spots for photographs which include; Makalia falls, Baboon Cliff, Lion Hill and Honeymoon hills.
Getting to the lodge is easy from Nairobi. It’s located in Nakuru County approximately 156km from Nairobi on A104 road and 30 minutes by flight.
The weather is usually fine all-year-round. Rainy seasons are usually between the months of March and May and October to December.
